Youth Week

Youth Week takes place during the first week of the Camp UniStar summer season. Campers range in age from youth entering grade 8 through the summer before their senior year. The week is often a welcomed time away from the pressures of home and school, to deeply connect with peers, make new friends, work and play, all while building community and lifelong connections.

The mornings include time together to build connections with each other, and learn from our program leaders and engage in discussion. Afternoons and evenings provide a lot of freedom and time for campers to choose their own path, with plenty of opportunities for enjoying time on the island. Hiking, kayaking, sailing, fishing, swimming, playing ping pong, games and puzzles, reading, or just relaxing on the dock are just a few of the favorite activities for youth campers and counselors alike.

Similar to family weeks, Youth Week is steeped in many rich traditions;. a camp-wide dance, an end of week talent show, and camper created slide shows and singalongs are just a few events that the youth enjoy participating in year after year.

Youth Week is always in need of adult counselors and program leaders. Please email the Youth Week Registrar if you are interested in volunteering your time.
